T5.1 84 bhp van in for proper remapping after shocking dyno results from previous remap found.

TH Performance

This morning we had a T5.1 84 bhp van in for a health check because the owner wasn’t convinced that it was running right, he said it just didn’t feel good. As part of this health check we carried out a full diagnostics scan (all was good yay), we checked the DPF level and we checked to see if there were any outstanding updates. We also datalogged the van and produced a dyno print out of it’s first run. With the old remap this van made 138 bhp and 327 nm of torque however the van shuddered badly from 1200 rpm through to 1800 rpm. This is caused by poor remapping and the torque delivery being all wrong. We advised the customer of this and he opted to have the old remap taken off and for it to be remapped again, properly.

We then put this back to stock where it made 88 bhp and 208.5 nm of torque. Once at stock we made a few adaptions to clear old data off and then a full DPF regen was carried out.

Once finished we remapped it with the awesome Pendle Performance software. This made 165 bhp and 327 nm of torque however with the torque delivery being perfectly applied by Martin at Pendle this has absolutely no shuddering at all.

Remember, good remaps are not cheap and cheap remaps are no good.
