In addition to your statutory rights these additional terms and conditions also apply. When you book work in with us it includes these additional terms and conditions.

Vehicles remapped elsewhere and vehicles on our dyno

If you have a remap already on your vehicle or if your vehicle is not in good working order we cannot be held to blame if there is a problem caused by an existing remap when tested on our dyno. If your vehicle has been remapped elsewhere and it suffers mechanical failure when on our dyno we will not accept any liability.

You should also be aware that a poor quality remap may have already caused damage so if we put it back to original and or remap it with Pendle Performance software and there is a mechanical failure we cannot be held to liable because the fault may have already been there before.

We appreciate that you may not have known about any pre-existing problems with your engine but sadly these days people don’t always tell us if their vehicle has been remapped before or it has underlying problems therefore the above applies to ALL vehicles. The same also applies to clutches, driveshafts, turbo’s, tyres etc, if anything suffers a mechanical failure we will not be responsible.

If a vehicle cannot be remapped due to failing our initial testing (datalogging and or dyno runs along with diagnostics) then you will need to rectify the fault or we can rectify the fault at your expense.

We reserve the right not to issue refunds in these situations. If we agree to do so there is a 50% charge to cover our time and admin costs associated with remapping. In addition to this, if after a remap your vehicle still has a problem which was there before the remap and you decide on a refund we will only refund 50% of the total fee paid.

In addition to the above, if we remap your vehicle and there is a problem afterwards we will not accept you claiming “it was alright before the remap” or similar wording simply because your vehicle isn’t responding how you thought it should. Sometimes things go wrong which neither you, the customer or us, the business, will know about beforehand therefore we do not issue refunds on this basis.

If we have completed the remapping process and it doesn’t work as you think it should then it is only fair we are paid for the time we have spent working on your vehicle which equates to two hours at £90 per hour (total £180). We will return your vehicle to its original software and refund you less the £180 as mentioned above.

On the day of tuning we will be looking for faults so we know the engine is safe to tune. If there are issues they are a simple easy fix then we can maybe put it right prior to tuning. If you have a major issue or issues which requires more than 60 minutes to fix then we will not remap your vehicle. If you are unsure please don’t take the risk, phone us up and will will try to help you out as much as we can.

All vehicles are tuned safely, we wont just remap a vehicle to flat out unsafe numbers. If you are after full on power, crackles, pops, bangs etc that is not our thing, there are plenty of companies out there that will do this for you.

All remap sessions will come with a full engine health check prior to going on the dyno, this is for us to find any potential hardware faults which could cause issues or damage when on the dyno.  The idea with the health check is not to find any issues based on you having the vehicle check before your booking date. Minor issues which you may have missed may be fixed on the day. If you have over looked major issues then unfortunately there is a good chance it will be impossible to fix on the day of remapping and we refuse to tune the vehicle if we deem it unsafe to tune

Please don’t pull up to our unit and delete your fault codes thinking we will remap it with problems. If we don’t see them we won’t know what codes have been deleted so be honest and truthful with us, if your engine goes bang because you have deleted fault codes it is your fault, not ours. You will be surprised how many people try this and one dyno run later we find out. Our main concern is safely remapping healthy vehicles and this is the only way to avoid expensive bills.

Please check your tyres are legal, its very common for us to see vehicles with bald tyres or the threads hanging out the sides. If your Tyers are bald or thread is showing we won’t dyno it or drive it on the road.

Cancellation charges:

All deposits for remapping are non-refundable. All pre-paid work will incur a £90 charge if the booking is cancelled. This is used for administration costs. There is no charge for rescheduled work.

Vehicles left outside our unit

Sadly a few vehicles have ended up with minor damage caused by third parties when left outside our unit. We cannot and will not be held responsible for this damage. We do not have space for many vehicles inside our unit so if you leave a vehicle with us and it is parked outside then you agree to indemnify us against any damage caused to it including theft.

T4’s and T5’s (and any other vehicle) before 2010 PLEASE READ THIS

If you are boking in a T4 or T5 manufactured before 2010 you need to be aware that these old vans may have numerous mechanical problems due to age, wear and tear and lack of care. We reserve the right to not work on these vehicles due to their age or condition. If we decide to work on them you agree and accept that any additional costs associated with these works will need to be paid by you on completion of the job. We will liaise with you if any there is likely to be additional costs however if we need to proceed so that the vehicles work can be completed we will proceed and you deemed to have agreed to this.

Parts supplied by customers

We reserve the right not to fit parts supplied by you. We also reserve the right to supply and fit any part needed to complete any work on your vehicle. If you want to supply parts for your vehicle to save money (this is usually where you have a friend working somewhere that provides parts) then we reserve the right to charge you £75 plus vat per hour if the vehicle is inside our unit being worked on. If we cannot work on a vehicle because you want to supply a part then you pay for the time we lose not being able to work.

Mobile remapping

With mobile remapping we do not provide any dyno print outs because it is a mobile service. If you want a dyno print out at a later date will will provide you with one dyno print out of the power it made after the remap only. You will need to contact us to arrange a suitable time to do this and travel to our unit to use the dyno. We will only travel up to 25 miles from PO9 1JH postcode according to google maps and what we agree too, not you the customer. Any distance over that will incur a £2 per mile extra charge payable in advance along with the mobile remap. If we cannot remap your vehicle for any reason beyond our control (ie a vehicle fault, lack of mobile wi-fi signal due to location) then there is no refund whatsoever, you will have to bring the vehicle to out unit in PO9 1JH. There is no refund on this mobile service. Don’t book in thinking we will not find a fault, we will and if there is a fault after the remap the above T&C’s also apply. This service is only for T5’s, T6’s, Caddy’s & Crafters. It excludes T4’s and T5’s from 2006-2009 with dpf’s fitted (bnz/bpc engine). Once you book we will confirm your vehicle location and any additional charges that need paying in advance.
