Another T5 perfectly tuned after numerous problems

TH Performance

In a week or so ago was a T5 1.9 85 bhp van. This was in for remapping but as part of our inspections and checks we found that the intercooler had split. We were able to get one in and fit it which then allowed us to test the vehicle before remapping it. Sadly all than happened was it showed that the turbo was also faulty, when we datalog these we can see how the turbo is working and this had no control whatsoever. We sourced a new turbo and fitted that and once again set about testing it on our dyno. At stock it was perfect so we started the remapping process. Once remapped during the first dyno run two boost pipes came off. This is caused by the lugs on the pipes being worn down so much they do not click in properly. With the increase in boost pressure these simply popped off which didn’t happen with stock boost pressure. Two new boost pipes later and this van made awesome gains and was running perfectly. The original dyno chart is shocking however it still makes stock power at 86 bhp and 195 nm of torque but once tuned it made an awesome 140 bhp and 305 nm of super smooth Pendle torque.
