In today was this lovely T5.1 102 bhp van that was a tricky one but one we were pleased to sort. This (the owner admitted) had been used with cheap supermarket crap fuel but filled up by Esso for today’s visit. That is like eating pizza everyday and gaining huge amounts of weight then having a salad one day expecting everything to be ok lol.
This started out with 110 bhp and 254 nm but had a dpf that wouldn’t regenerate properly. This van required two dpf cycles before it reset itself. Although it only had 16.32g of soot it struggled to clear it out. It was still clearing at .97g and you can see by the time of last regen (17557 seconds) that it had been a while (this is engine on time).
Once it eventually completed its (2nd) regen cycle we set about tuning it. Once tuned this made 164.5 bhp and 327 nm of torque but there was a shudder which we didn’t like. Some lesser companies would easily blame this on a hardware fault but not us, in partnership with Martin from Pendle we explained in detail where the shudder occurred and Martin set about making another tuned file with the torque tweaked a little.
This was then tested again on our dyno and this time it made 166 bhp and 323 nm with no shuddering at all. It’s attention to detail, it’s working as a team and it’s about being passionate and delivering the best product for you our customers.
Done once, done right, first time, every time.
